The annual planning meeting for the Ontario Resistant Honey Bee Selection Program (ORHBS) (formally the Ontario Mite and Disease Resistant Honey Bee Breeding Program) will be held at the Orchard Park Office Centre in Guelph on February 4, 2014 at 10 am. The 2013 season will be reviewed, research priorities discussed and requirements for the 2014 breeding program outlined.
The meeting is open to all queen breeders: those participating in the ORHBS program, as well as anybody who is interested in learning what is involved in a focused bee breeding program. For more information, or to confirm your attendance at the meeting, buzz the Tech Transfer office at (519) 836-3609 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Nominations will be accepted for the chair of the OBBA and committee members up until the February meeting. Voting for the chair will take place at the meeting. If you would like to be part of this committee contact the Tech-Transfer Program for more information.
