Blueberries are Canada’s top fruit export valued at over $400 million annually. Crop productivity is higly dependent on honey bee pollination. The demand for honey bees continue to grow in the Eastern provinces. The opportunity for Ontario beekeepers to provide pollination services for blueberry growers is a means to expand their business financially.
